The Rock may love his cousins and family, but when it comes to WWE championship, everyone just wants a piece of championship action.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been questioned about a potential WWE comeback while out appearing in the media to promote his most recent movie, “Black Adam,” which will be released later this month. For the past several years, there has been chatter about WWE wanting The Rock to return for one more encounter to face his cousin Roman Reigns. The Rock vs. Reigns is a bout that WWE hopes to book for WrestleMania 39, but it hasn’t been finalized due to The Rock’s schedule. The Rock said that he is the Head of the Table when questioned during his appearance on E! News’ The Rundown. He said, “Who is head of the table? Without saying any names, you’re looking into his eyes right now.”
However, he did mention that he likes the concept of WrestleMania and is at heart a promoter. The former WWE Champion also dismissed confirming the bout versus Reigns at WrestleMania 39. “I am not confirming that at all. No, I am not. I know I’m going to get a text from him after he watches this.” The Rock continued, “I love the idea of a WrestleMania. I’m close to a lot of people there, but I’m very close to one in particular, who we’ve talked about this. There are so many variables that come into play. I’m a fan because I’m a promoter at heart. I’m a fan of promoting an event and what that could be. I love WrestleMania, and I love that word.”
Roman Reigns and Logan Paul have been engaged in a heated rivalry for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Following their verbal sparring on social media and in public, it appears the two are eagerly anticipating Crown Jewel next month.
When Reigns appeared as a guest on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, the unexpected rivalry between the WWE Champion and the Influencer began. Logan started making fun of The Tribal Chief when he departed the program, even joking that he could defeat Reigns. The Head of the Table was subsequently exposed by Paul on a SmackDown program, which ultimately resulted in a news conference in September.
Roman Reigns vs Logan Paul, for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, will take place at Crown Jewel on November 5, 2022, it was revealed during the conference. The performance will take place in Mrsool Park, a 25,000-seat venue in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The location, formerly known as King Saud University Stadium, where the inaugural 2018 event took place, will host the occasion for the second time.
