"I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy. And that’s the most important thing to me, is being a daddy".
The Rock, Dwayne Johnson has frequently considered running for president of the United States; it appears that this has been in the works for some time. Johnson has finally provided a definitive response to fans’ earlier hopes that he might run in the 2024 US presidential election. Last year at this time, Johnson claimed to have discussed entering politics with advisors, claimed to have conducted a “small amount of research and analysis” to determine where people are getting the idea that he might run for president, and claimed that “indicators are all very positive – in, for example, 2024, and in, for example, 2028.”

Unfortunately for his countless fans, Johnson said he would not be seeking reelection. When asked by Jane Pauley during a CBS Sunday Morning interview if running for president was no longer an option, Johnson responded as follows: “It’s off the table. Yes, it is off the table.”
“I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy. And that’s the most important thing to me, is being a daddy, number one, especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters’ lives.
“Because I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years when my first daughter [was] growing up… At this critical time in their life – that’s what the presidency would do.
“So, my number one priority is my daughters.”
