Miomir Kecmanovic and Aleksandar Kovacevic will face each other in the round of 32 of the 2022 ATP Korea Open on Monday, September 26.
In the first half of the 2022 season, Miomir Kecmanovic produced a lot of quality work and reached his career-high rating of #30. But except from that one strong performance in Los Cabos, he hasn’t been able to build on those performances so far in the second half (SF). The former Junior #1 has had a very good season despite his recent bad play and lacklustre results, and he should be proud of his performance given all the difficulties he faced last season. In the whole 2021 season, he only managed to win 17 games while losing 27, and he only managed to win three matches in a row in the main draw.
Aleksandar Kovacevic was defeated by Nicolas Jarry at the same stage in Seoul, less than seven days after he lost to fellow countryman Emilio Nava in the last qualifying round in San Diego. The American gets a chance to play in the main draw this week as a lucky loser, unlike in San Diego last week. The American, 24, will make his first main-draw appearance at tour-level competitions with this performance. He has the skills to deliver difficult performances at the ATP 250 level, and he once shown his prowess on the main circuit during the US Open qualifying rounds last year when he defeated Marco Trungelliti in the third qualifying round and upset Benjamin Bonzi in the second.
Miomir Kecmanovic and Aleksandar Kovacevic are scheduled to face each other in the round of 32 of the 2022 ATP Korea Open on Monday, September 26. The tournament is scheduled to begin on September 24 and end on October 2.
The 2022 ATP Korea Open is scheduled to commence on September 24 and go on until October 2 this year. The tournament will have five rounds of play excluding the qualifiers. These are the round of 32, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
