Rocks will be up against Warriors in match 8 of the CSA T20 Challenge 2022-23 on Thursday, October 20 set to be played at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom. It will be a two-week-long tournament with six other teams taking part. Dolphins, Titans, North West, Lions, Knights, and Western Province are the rest of the sides and that makes it a total of eight teams in action in the tournament.

“Arguably, this is the biggest summer of cricket we have ever had in the country. The inaugural SA20 will also make its way in January 2023, a welcomed addition to our summer of cricket”, CSA Director of Cricket, Enoch Nkwe, commented on the season. The players will use the home South African T20 competition as a crucial training ground for the first SA20 League.

Tristan Stubbs (on national duty) and JJ Smuts (who went to Dolphins) won’t be available for the Warriors this year. Wiaan Lubbe and Mathew Breetzke, two regulars, will start the batting order. It is anticipated that Glenton Stuurman would lead the pace attack. It is anticipated that Lesiba Ngoepe will be the only spinner in their starting lineup.

The Rocks team will be led by Pieter Malan. With players like Clyde Fortuin, Michael Copeland, Christiaan Bonker, Ferisco Adams, and Leus De Boer, they boast one of the strongest batting lineups. Ferisco Adams and Hardus Viloin are anticipated to direct the pace attack.
